Positive GBS. Now what?

Priscilla
I just left my doctor's office. She told my test came back positive. I'm supposed to be having a c section but she won't put me on the schedule for one because she says I will probably need one before 38 weeks. I'm 36+4 today. I also have GD and gestational hypertension(both of my doctors are waiting for preeclampsia to set in). She didn't check my cervix today and she said that I would be given antibiotics for the GBS if I go into labor.  I'm really confused about it all. Does a positive GBS test mean they won't check the cervix? Why is she talking about labor? I'm not a good candidate for VBAC because I have had several small surgeries on my uterus over the last 7 years. I'm just confused.
