Mitigating roaches

Hi everyone.

I feel like i have no where else where i can talk about this because i really don’t want to broadcast i have roaches but i need help.

Im in an apartment building and we’ve already had an exterminator in to leave bait and for awhile i was seeing them less but today im trying to do some deep cleaning while i put away the last of the christmas decorations and ive just seen... soo many.

I dont know how long the bait is supposed to last or how long it takes to start working but what should i be doing in the mean time to kind of keep them at bay? Im vacuuming and mopping and i stopped leaving dishes in the sink but it just doesn’t seem to do much. If i walk away for a few minutes and leave so much as a crumb on the counter there they are.

Im not the cleanest person but im also not a slob. Ive never had any problem with roaches before and ive been in apartments for ten years now. And even tho i know other people in our building are having this problem, i cant help but feel like this is my fault still.
