23+3 and Influenza A opinions?
Last Thursday night, I was at work. I work in a hospital. I was really sick and my HR went up to almost 140 consistently. My blood pressure was high and I was breathing almost 3x the amount a normal person does in a minute (wheezing as well). I was diagnosed with influenza A. They gave me tamiflu, instructed me to take Tylenol for the fevers and Robitussin DM for the cough. It’s now a week later, I’ve finished the tamiflu and thought I was feeling better aside from the cough. However now, I’m back at work (first day back) and I started feeling bad again. Lots of sinus pressure, lethargic, cough still pretty bad and something told me to take my temperature. When I did I had a low grade of 100.0. I don’t expect the cough to go away anytime soon. However, it concerns me that I’m still getting fevers a week later. Should I call my OB on call/ wait until the morning and call or just take it as more of a flu sign? I just figured I would be better by now.
