HELP ADVICE NEEDED

Long story short - I started my period like any other teenage girl. It was regular for a while and then became very irregular. (I'm talking 6 months without a period and then 6 months ON MY PERIOD - the doctor said I was fine and this was normal. I literally started calling it my PERMANENT instead of my period.) When I turned 18yo, I began birth control to help regulate my period once more. It worked. Now I am 24yo and have been off my birth control for 10 months since my husband and I want to start a family, and I have continued to be regular. MY PROBLEM - we started trying around the time I was suppose to start my period in December 2017. My last period was Nov 22nd. I did not have a period in Dec. I have not had on in Jan 2018 yet.... I've taken 3 home urine pregnancy tests that all turned negative - one of them was even at the doctors office because I got sick and didn't want to hurt the baby if I was prego with the meds I had to take (they didn't take blood; still just a urine test at the end of Dec 2017). DO I NEED TO GO TO THE DOC AND GET A BLOOD TEST? IDK WHAT TO DO AND ITS DRIVING ME NUTS! Why I just wish I would start my period or know for a fact I'm pregnant. Advice welcome! Thanks
