How long do you have to wait to know if you are pregnant?

My period came on dec 8-13 and the app says my fertile days is dec22-28 but I used the ovulation stripes and it says dec 30-31. Does that mean my ovulation delayed? My period hasn’t come for 35 days starting from the 8th til today. The app says I will have my period on jan 14 but I don’t think it’s accurate so what should I do? I took the pregnancy test on dec 9 it came out neg. or how long do I have to wait and see? I am 5 days late since the 8th of jan?
