9w5d too early to announce?

Question

I want to announce on Valentine's Day when I'll be 9 weeks 5 days. I have my first ultrasound February 6th which is a week before Valentine's Day, and I was thinking if everything looks good it might be okay to announce? What do you think?

I announced at 7 weeks. If youre gonna miscarry youre gonna miscarry, telling people wont jinx you. I say go for it! 9 weeks is relatively safe anyway, with the statistics of miscarriage being around 2%

We told my family & close friends between 5-8 weeks & everyone else from 13+ weeks, we only put something for my hubbys family overseas at 17 weeks.
We decided to tell close friends and family so if anything happened we could have a support system.

I announced my first pregnancy at 7 weeks. I’d had an ultrasound and seen the heartbeat which dropped the rate of miscarriage to super low.
I’m only 6 weeks now, haven’t had an ultrasound yet, but have told those close to me. I won’t mind as much if it gets out, after we have our ultrasound next week and hopefully see the heartbeat 💕

Really it's up to you. I heard a lot of people wait till they are out of first trimester.

I announced at 10 weeks because the timing worked to do it at my son’s birthday party. So I think it’s fine.
