How do I get baby to sleep in crib?

So my little one is about to turn 8 months in a few days and refuses to sleep in his own crib. I try every night for at least an hour to get him to fall asleep (he’s extremely drowsy when I try) but he screams bloody murder and doesn’t know ho to self soothe. The second I put him in our bed he passes out. 😭 is there tricks I can try?

You just have to keep working at it. My daughter was like that. What are you using to sleep train? We use a modified Ferber method. We let her fuss but not cry. You could also try starting with naps to get baby used to sleeping in his crib. My 8 mo slept in her own crib fell 6:45-5 for the first time last night 😊

We started with naps also. Once she was used to napping in there, transitioning her to the crib for the night was much easier.

You gotta just keep at. As frustrating as it is it will pay off! You’ll be surprised, one day they just give in and you’re like “really!?” Just keep putting them down in it for naps and bedtime. This age is perfect to sleep train before they get older and protest even more.
