Spotting is normal during the first trimester. The spotting is from the egg implanting in the lining of your uterus when this happens it is the lining shedding from the spot where the egg implanted itself. Don't worry everything is ok

As long as it's not bright red, heavy or painful... you're ok. A lot of women spot early on, and it's ok. If it's bright red or painful, I'd go to the dr right away. Could be low hormone levels... mine was low progesterone, and would have mc had I not been put on progesterone pills. Everything turned out ok though.
