Elective caesarean?

Would anyone choose to have an elective caesarean? Or anyone on here who has had one??

I've had 2 vaginal inductions and 1 c section. I've had surgeries in the past with a quick and easy recovery, and I underestimated how bad the c section recovery would be (even though I had no choice). You use your abdominal muscles for literally everything, even picking up a glass, laying down flat etc. It was extremely difficult, and I had a burning sensation for 3 or 4 months where my incision was. I'm pregnant again, and as I'm growing it hurts where my incision was, I've never had that my previous 3 pregnancies. So I definitely wouldn't choose a c section unless medically necessary.

C sections definitely have their place in cases of emergency or if there is a legit medical reason for one.
But I personally would never elect to have major surgery. It comes with a longer recovery. You won’t be able to hold your baby immediately in some cases. There are lots of health benefits for Mom and baby to a vaginal birth- like the lungs get compressed for the first breath (whereas most c sec babies get suctioning) your milk comes in faster, healthy bacteria gets passed to baby, hormone release, etc! 
My daughters birth was fast - 11 hours from my water breaking to her being born- only 20 minutes of pushing. I was out of bed an hour after and showered and feeling amazing! It was hard and yes it hurt but it’s only temporary. Your body knows what to do and it’s made to do it.
I’m 33 weeks with my second who is still transverse. Can’t wait for him to turn because I will avoid a c at all costs! Just my ten cents.

I had a c-section with my first and it saved our lives.. I am now pregnant with my second and have the choice to have another c-section or try to have a natural birth. I made the choice to have a c-section.

I have had two pretty bad long v-births and a emergency c section after 26hiurs failed labour with my last so this time I was given the option BUT encouraged to seriously consider a vbac even tho they said it's super risky due to past 4degree tear and big babies ECT.. So I decided to op for a planned c section this time.. not gonna lie as it gets closer I'm shitting my self ha ha x I'm 31+weeks x

I had s section on oct with my LG 
She turned around in last week!!
Iv just found out I'm expecting again!!
My section was great quick recovery,out of hosp the next day,pain wasn't too bad for me,and I managed on paracetamol and ibuprofen for couple weeks.
Take things slowly and if you can get help or stay with someone for week after this is a huge help!!
Big knickers are a life saver and comfy baggy clothes!! 
I will be having another when this one comes...it's a nice experience..very surreal but amazing!!! Xx
