At how many weeks did you start taking baby out?

When did you start taking baby out? Stores, supermarket restaurants??

2 days. This crazy flu season might have given me pause though. A lady was coughing up a storm in Carter's recently, loudly complaining that she was on her 3rd round of antibiotics, and then she tried to touch my baby's face. WTF!? Some people just need an elbow to the face.

3 days old. straight outta the hospital, had to go to the store. life goes on even with a new baby. Just make sure strangers keep their hands to themselves and baby will be fine

I waited 6 weeks before I went any where and when we did finally got out it went  to my families house. I believe in not exposing baby to getting sick at young age. Life goes on but too many babies get the flu or rsv because parents want go every where with their newborn. I understand that people have things that need to be done but I rather have Family, friends and husband take care of things that I need done. Like store, picking up kids, grabbing food, grocery shopping. Plus why do you want to take your baby out so soon they should be home in there warm beds they need so much rest the first couple weeks. I just rather not put my baby in harms way. I really didn’t go any where until my baby got his first round of shots

me and my son probably wont be going anywhere but dr's appointments for awhile.. he'll be here in february which is usually like the coldest month, and the flu has been going around and i'd rather not risk anything unless i absolutely have to

We waited a long time with my girls but they were preemies so they didn’t go to stores or anything until 3 months old and we still don’t take them into public places often since it’s rsv and flu season.

We are super overprotective, so the only “out” we did was the Dr appts for the first month, then went to the grandparents (who are just a few mines away) a few times in month 2, then when he was 3 months we finally took him to my friends house for a few hours. Still no stores or grocery shopping. Now with the crazy cold weather we don’t take him out in the wind & cold if we can help it & if we do he’s bundled up. The flu is really bad right now. I know everyone has different needs & schedules so a lot of people have to take their babies out with them but use caution. If you can wait a little while I strongly recommend it... nothing is worse than a sick baby.

5 days old and we went to the store. Honestly, just don’t let strangers touch the baby and keep them in the car seat. They’ll be okay!

I plan to wait about a month or so before I take my baby girl out. She's due in 12 days and I'm in Canada where it's just super cold. Plus with flu season I'm a bit weary
