DID YOU EVER REGRET BREAKING UP WITH YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER?

just broke up with my boyfriend the day before our one year. we're 16 and he was my first boyfriend. he loves me so much and thinks im perfect and we have alot of good memories but I know I need to get out and experience dating other people. he was always so clingy and insecure and i didn't like it. Everytime I would cry, he would cry and make me feel like I had to comfort him instead of him comforting me. he was always socially awkward when we were around other people and i sometimes felt embarrassed that he was my bf. ive gone back and forth for a while trying to decide if this is what I want and could easily get him back but I don't want to lead him on if im never going to be completely content with him. just need advice
