Okay so I’m in some trouble and idk how to handle it.

My ex’s brother and I stayed good friends. So Saturday morning I was talking with him and we were giving my ex a hard time. And my ex found out and yelled at both of us. Well during this he said somethings that really got on my nerves about my friends. And in a moment of anger, his brother and I were talking about jumping him or putting something in his exhaust pipe. We were just talking we didn’t actually mean anything by it. But now my ex is talking about pressing charges against me for death threats. If there’s any lawyers can you explain to me what situation I’m looking at here?
