Contraceptive implant - Is it visible ?

Hi, I’m considering getting the implant but I’m scared it’s going to be noticeable - can you obviously see it under the skin or not ? I tried looking at images on google and stuff but most of those are pics of implants gone wrong😰

No you can’t see it.
And don’t listen to anyone who tries to scare you away from it just because THEY had a bad experience lol. There’s horror stories about every birth control method.

I had the implant for 5 years (two implants). I absolutely loved it and would definitely get it again. The first one was closer to the surface than my second. Never once did I have to worry about people seeing it! I have a scare on my arm now but honestly unless I hold my arm up you can't see it! No periods for the 5 years, no crazy mood swings, I actually lost weight and my periods returned a week after removal which was excellent as we are TTC. I know everyone's stories are different but mine was an excellent experience.

If you don't have much fat on your inner arm, it can be a little visible at times. But not so much that anyone's going to notice it if they're not looking for it.
The scarring is super minimal. I've had mine in about a month and this is what it looks like:

The lighter scar to the left is from a blister I got from the bandage.
Seriously, no one will know if you don't want them to.

That little dot is my scar. My doctor is great and she helped me knowledge wise. 
All you feel is the tugging of your skin when they cut and that’s it, I didn’t feel any paid at any time.
I have a little bit of acne but that’s all I’ve noticed, no weight gain or long bouts of bleeding or mood swings. I absolutely love it and would suggest it. But don’t forget everyone responds to any birth control differently and what might work for me won’t work for you and vice versa
