pregnancy test

hi ladies! I just have a quick question! please give me some ideas. My last period was Dec 8th. and my expected this month period was Jan 7th. but so far no siganl for it. I did test 2 times (on 12th and 15th) both came out negative. I dont have period cramps usually but since last week I have all these pregnancy symptoms. :( I asked my nurse, and they ordered a blood test for me. Should I go as soon as possible and take the blood test? or Should I wait just couple more days (or until either i find positive on the test or i start period)? I can't decide.. My hubby and I really want baby so just waiting is getting more stressful though... help please!
