9th percentile??! 36 weeks help?!?

My baby is only measuring in the 9th percentile at 36 weeks exactly...she's estimated to be 4lbs 13ozs....that's way too small anyone experienced this and had healthy baby???

My first was estimated at almost 8lbs even and I was induced the following day he cane out 9lbs 4oz 😳 so I don’t believe those estimates ever lol

That’s only a pound different than the average weight. I wouldn’t be too worried about it as they are often off by a little bit.

My daughter was 6lbs 1oz at 39+6. Perfectly healthy, just petite. That is only a 1lb 4oz difference to make up for your baby, in 4 long weeks of gestation. Im not your doc/midwife and don't know your baby's medical history of course, but I wouldnt be worried if that were my baby based on just the info you've given.

I was born at 35 weeks at 4 lbs 13 oz and I was perfectly healthy! I know a week can make a HUGE difference in development for a fetus, but with medical technology I bet your baby would be fine. I was in an incubator for a few weeks, but not long.
Keep that baby in as long as possible and you’ll be golden. 👍🏻

Estimates can vary, if there’s cause for concern they will monitor you more closely. My doc said there was no way my daughter would be much more than 6 lbs and she was 7 lbs 6 oz. Try not to worry!
