Would you consider this a birth mark?

My baby is 12 months in a week and he’s had this on his back ever since he was born. I thought it was hair and first but now I’m not sure. It kinda looks like a bruise but it’s not. It doesn’t hurt him when I touch it and it hasn’t grown in side, but does tend to grow with him if that makes sense.

its a mongolian spot. typically will disappear over time.

My baby has those. Was born like that. Well he’s not a baby anymore. He is 4 on the 23 rd and still has the spots. They are called Mongolian spots. Just pigmented skin. My son gets them from his dad who is Peruvian and Colombian. Your doctor should be able to tell you about the spots. I made sure all daycare providers and will also provide to the school dr documentation so they know it’s not bruising.

Yep. I had a deeper blue one of these on my forehead above my right eye. I got it removed as a teenager but it was totally harmless.

Yes, my son has something like that but smaller on his lower back.
