Did you ladies take your breast pump to the hospital?

Getting induced tomorrow going in at 3:30am. It’s my third time, first time my milk didn’t come till a week later. Second time it didn’t come till I got home on the third day. So in the middle of if I should take it or not. What did you ladies do?

I am bringing mine because I will be exclusively pumping, and if I have any questions the lactation consultant can help guide me through my pump.

Whenever you are not feeding baby you should try to pump because the more stimulation the more your body will produce.

I didn’t bring it and then was there longer than planned and had to have hubby go home and assemble it and bring it

I guess I'm different than some others here but I started to produce right after. I would try to breastfeed but my boobs were starting to produce a lot of milk. The hospital provided a breastpump so I used that one. I got like almost 3-4 ounces of colostrum when I'd pump in those first days.

No. Your milk won’t come in until you get home. There’s no point.

If for some reason you need to pump while in the hospital (which is not very common), the hospital has pumps which are hospital grade (aka way better than the one you have,  it’s likely)...
