Not having a baby shower??

So I've been planning my baby shower for months... and today I had to cancel it (it's in 4 weeks) and I'm just devastated. Anyone else not having a shower with their first baby? And why? Please comment .
Edit : I also don't have anything at all. No clothes no diapers . And I'm due in march. So I was going to use my baby shower to get everything I needed but..

I haven’t had a baby shower. I don’t feel like I’m missing much. If your upset about it maybe look at having a small get together instead, invite a few people round or meet up in a cafe to celebrate. It can be tiring having parties when pregnant!

I’m only 7 weeks and I plan on having a baby shower. I’ll be having one to celebrate my little poppy and it’ll also helps out with whatever gifts anyone decides to bring. But the main reason is to celebrate the life of my little one.

I didn't have one, but it was because I didn't want one. My MIL was pretty upset about it though.

I’m not sure if I’m having one I really don’t feel the need really. I’ve got everything I need I don’t wanna have one just for the sake of getting gifts and things I’m not really about that. When I baptise my baby after he/she is born then my whole family and friends will be coming to the church ceremony and then we’re going to hire out a function room and have food/drinks. But yeah thats just me 😌

I had one with my son ( my first ) he's a year old now and I'm 33 weeks with a girl and I'm not wanting a baby shower, two people called me fat and said rude things to me about my size and appearance at my shower with my son. My SIL is giving me all her daughters baby clothes and I have so much baby stuff from my son the she can use. I'm very happy I'm not dealing with the stress of a baby shower but it's good to experience it with your first at least. I'm so sorry you had to cancel ❤️
