Hyperthyroidism Help Please!!

3 mths ago I went to my doctor because my cycles were getting longer. He had me do some blood work and I was put birth control (the pill). The blood work results came back that my thyroid levels were off and i was referred to get scans of my thyroid and a referral to see a specialist, that I finally get to see on Wednesday after 3 mths of waiting for the appointment. My question is does hyperthyroidism lower my chances on trying to conceive or anything? Does any else have hyperthyroidism and was able to conceive with no problems? Any time of information helps!
