WTH Birthing cat photoshoot

These people are not as funny as they think. Here is why.

This photo shoot, to be "extra" for their cat, has a strong satire way of making fun of women who have birth photos done. With the assumption that birth is beautiful. Well it's not always is it? Those struggling with infertility, loss, stillbirth, and traumatic birth will not be laughing. Those who are separated from their baby in the nicu, the women that hemorrhage, is that funny? Are they next going to pull a puppy out from a medical drape with jelly and red jam everywhere?

Birth is a huge, medical event in peoples lives. It is a painful, and sometimes frightening process that is not the same as adopting a cat. I understand that people love their fur babies. I do. But to make this kind of crass joke making fun of birthing a baby is just ridiculous and tone deaf.

I get it. Its supposed to be a joke. But just because its 'supposed' to be funny, doesn't make it appropriate.

I know I'll probably get hate for this but I don't care. Fire away.
