Pristiq and period?

I've started taking pristiq (anti depressant) for a month now and my period is one week late. I've had unprotected sex and thought I was pregnant (I would be 5 weeks pregnant) since I was having all of the symptoms; backache, nausea etc and it came out negative! I'm begginning to wonder if my medication has stopped me from getting my period or if my medication is creating a false positive? Has anybody else had experience with pristiq? Any comments or advice are greatly appreciated xx

I don't know much about pristiq bc it is really new on the market, it has some funky side effects when you aren't pregnant so I wouldn't take it if I were pregnant, there isn't enough research. Also, it might be that you're body is getting accustomed to it and your cycle is off. In regards to medications in general (excuse me for my rant, but it's ingrained into my brain from work 😝) Prozac is one of the only anti depressants approved for pregnancy. All are category C but Prozac is known to be the safest. If you can stand to stay off any psychotropic it would be beneficial, but as always weigh the risks and benefits!
