Itchy

My vag has been itching for do longggg on both sides of my labia and it’s the most aggravating thing ever but i refuse to go get checked out because im so nervous and insecure. Also the weirdest thing is when i start my period the itch completely goes away and as soon as my period ends it comes back. I don’t get itchy all day it’ll be here and there and once i itch too much and then pee it burns like crazy its the worst but most of times i fight the itching and just let it itch and try to get my mind off of it. What should i do?
