Hello! This is my first post ever in the Glow community so hopefully I am posting in the right place and following all the posting etiquette properly. :) I have been quietly reading so many of your experiences and they have helped answer so many questions for me!

I do want to post about my experience with the HSG test because I feel like there are so many women who have terrible experiences and I just wanted to share that mine wasn’t so bad at all. I was absolutely terrified to take this test. So terrified that I put it off for three years. I think every woman is different so it very well may hurt for some but I wanted to share that for me, the only thing that really hurt was the speculum. Once the speculum was out after they inserted the catheter, everything else was a piece of cake! So, it may not even hurt at all for you. Also, everyone kept telling me how quick it was and they were absolutely right. It is SO FAST, I was surprised. Hoping this puts at least some of you at ease.

My tubes are all clear and it was a normal test result, putting us in the “unexplained infertility” category. So, I’m wondering for those of you who have had the same test, did you end up conceiving naturally in the 3 months after? My doctor said that if that happens, it would be a coincidence but SO many other people say otherwise, including the nurse practitioners I have spoken with and other fertility clinics in my city. If any of you could share your experience, that would be awesome! I’m really praying that we get pregnant in the next few months. We have no other known issues, no previous pregnancies, and haven’t been preventing pregnancy for 5-6 years (actively trying on and off for probably 4 years). Thanks in advance!!
