Anyone’s 15 month old still use a binky?

So my 15 month old still loves his binky (and so do I because it calls him on car rides and to sleep!) he doesn’t use it all the time just on long car rides and when napping/sleeping. Anyone else still use one? My dr said it’s fine as long as I try to wean him off it around 2.

Yup! I give my son his binky to fall asleep and when ever he wakes up during the night. Idk how I'm going to break that habit lol

Yes, my son does too...I figure he gets comfort from it, why take that away now when he is too young to understand why? I will try to get him off of it at around 18 mo if he is still using it, just because I don’t want it to affect his teeth.

Yes Nolan still has his binky. My uncle is a dentist & said it's ok until between 2 & 2.5 as long as his teeth are not affected.

I was nervous about doing this but went to the Drs today and they said take the binkie(because of the dry skin around his mouth caused from drool) cold turkey... he only uses it for bed and car rides...  but he fussed for 1 minute and then got comfy and went to sleep hoping the rest of the weekend goes this good... and then cianara binkie we got a big boy on our hands now!

I took it away when she was a year old. basically kept giving her newborn binkie and sometimes when I'd be out I would purposely not bring it so she wouldn't have it in the car or just out. I really kept it for just sleeping most of the time though.  I just roughed it out then on her bday I said no more and I never gave it to her and it was easy. you just kind of have to rough it.

He loves his WubbaNub!! I'm convinced he sleeps through the night and is a sweet quiet boy in the car because of it! Lol. We'll deal with taking it away when it's time. But for now, he needs a tool to deal with his toddler frustration. I'm ok with it.

We’ve done only naps/bed and car since 6 months (yes that’s early for that BUT my LO never needed or wanted a binky that much). I am having #2 in June and debated weaning before and I decided it’s not worth it. I’ll wean right around 2 years.

well I spoke to early... all weekend at bed time he cries for about an hour a night last night was closer to 45 mins.... he must of been tired friday  (first night ) wow was I stupid to think this might go easy!

Only at bed/nap, in the car, or if he’s being whiney. Otherwise we don’t let him just suck on it whenever. Hoping to wean him off it once all his teeth are in, as it provides him so much comfort for him while teething.
