Should I cut my hair or not?

Question

I've been wanting to cut my hair since at least last year, but I've been really scared since my last hair cut was a disaster and I'm actually wanting to go shorter than last time! I just need a little bit of advice, so if anyone is willing to give some that would be great. :) Here are some pics of myself.

Now, I did NOT cut my hair, but I did pin it back to get the look that I want. Here it is.

My hair is 28" long. It reaches my belly button from the front, and the bottom of my back when it's back there. It's so long that I rarely brush it. But it's so soft and healthy. I want to cut it pretty offten, thinking it would look like the second picture I added. But I've had it short before (the longest it has ever been before this was my shoulders) and I know it'll be curly and frizzy. The weight of it keeps it straight (sometimes). Ugh. I can't do anything with it now. It's too heavy and thick to do anything. and takes 80 years to brush it all, but before I'm done brushing it's tangled again. Let's be honest, I brush it when it gets really bad. Until then, no. I'm starting to get split ends, so I'm gonna get it trimmed soon. I dyed it blonde and trimmed it in the beginning of december. I want it to grow out to my natural color. But lately I've been on pinterest so... it'll probably be brown again soon... or purple or something

I just cut my hair and I absolutely love it! Honestly, it looks cute in your pic and I think you should go for it! Maybe a different stylist? And plus, it'll grow back eventually!

I had long hair for about 5 yrs. it was just above my butt. My hair grows really slow! I ended up cutting off 10+ inches over a 1 1/2 ago and donated it and don't regret it one bit! You have to be mentally prepared for it or you will hate it! Here's my before and after 😊

My hair used to be really long about your length and I randomly decided to cut it pretty short. It was super cute for awhile but it got old pretty fast. I got a trim so I could let it grow out and the lady seriously made it look terrible! Now I just want my long hair back and of course it's taking forever to grow! I totally getting wanting to do something different but from my experience I wouldn't do it. Plus your long hair is beautiful!!!

In my opinion, short = chic & professional. I go to Anthony David Salon. Idk if they're everywhere but they always do a great job for me!

If they stuff it up you can always grow it again. Get a picture of what you want and show them
