Newborn latch issue lost 8.9% weight in 24 hours 😭

So my baby lost 8% weight in 24 hours he was 6.13 and went to 6.3 and the pediatrician said I may have to supplement with formula? The location consultation said he was not opening his mouth wide enough to food. Well his poops are good but pediatrician said it’s from amniotic fluid? I felt bad so I gave him some enfamil formula my ped gave me but I’m confused how can I help feed more? Should I be worried?
