Who Did You Tell?

Question

My husband and I are going through our first mc (also our first pregnancy).  We were very early in our pregnancy so we hadn't told anyone we were pregnant yet.

While my husband has been so incredibly amazing I feel like I need to talk about my mc.

Who, if anyone, did you talk to about your mc when you were going through it or shortly after? Especially those who didn't know you were pregnant to begin with.

We found out I was pregnant at 3w5d, my period came on two days later. It was a chemical. We did not tell anyone. I briefly talked to my sister about choosing a doc, but she didn't know that I was. I only talk to my hubby about it, that was two days ago. It hurts so bad. 😔 I keep thinking positive, we will try again next week. Baby dust to us all!

Going through second mc, first mmc, now. So far I've told my two best friends & that's it.  My boss knows about the other one because I started bleeding at work and had to leave.

I'm starting to want to tell more people though. Because I feel like I need support and to explain my miserable appearance and behavior... I don't know.

Keeping it a secret makes it feel like I did something wrong. And I didn't.

I was very open with friends and immediate family and with some people at work. I'm the kind of person that needs to talk to grieve and recover. My aunts uncles cousins etc have no idea and I plan to keep it that way until I get pregnant again then I might fill them in. But everyone is different some people prefer to just keep it between themselves. So sorry for your loss it does get easier!

We had told our parents and very close friends. When the miscarriage occurred, I had a great network of support to turn to. I was also surprised to find out that several of our friends had a miscarriage and could share their experiences! It happens much more often than you might think, so bringing it up might surprise you. Best wishes!

We told both our families and very close friends....basically anyone we felt comfortable knowing in case of miscarriage. So then we had support when we needed it. Sorry for your loss 😞

It's my second MC and  it hit real hard I can't deal with it 😢😤😭 
My hubby is very supportive we're both recovering and surgery on Monday 6-1-14  sigh 😤

I was 10 weeks with our first pregnancy when I MCd so we had already told friends and family. When we found out it was a missed MC, I felt embarrassed and didn't want to tell anyone at first. But then I told family members and I got an overwhelming amount of support. My mom, sister in law, sister in laws mother, and my two mothers in law all told me about how they had all experienced a MC. It helped sooooo much to have that support and hear them talk about it. MC is still such a taboo subject and I really wish it weren't. It happens so much more than we think but no one talks about it so we feel alone. One of the things I love about Glow. The MC and Loss groups have helped me a lot.
