I woke up this morning and went to the bathroom and realized that I had blood on my shorts this morning. I had really bad cramps this morning that forced me to get up a couple minutes before my alarm went off for work. I also have lower back pain. Yesterday, I had mild cramps and lower back pain as well. When I wiped I had a very small speck of blood on the toilet paper.

I called my doctor who wasn't available and they gave me an RN. She advised that if it is a strawberry jam color that its normal and if it was blood, like if you were to cut your finger than I need to worry.

My question is should I go to the ER and get checked anyways? Or wait for my schedule appointment on Monday?
