What were the heartbeats for your babies and what did you end up having?

When they measure the heart rate at appointments, they are only taking a brief snapshot. Your baby’s heart rate changes all of the time depending on activity level. So, if every time you get an ultrasound and/or a Doppler reading and the heart rate is around the same number, that’s more of a coincidence than anything else. The idea that heart rate indicates gender is complete crap and no OBGYN or ultrasound tech would ever tell you it’s a valid method for determining gender. Google will claim that anything over 140 means a girl and anything under that means a boy, but... that’s Google and it’s not wise to consider that a valid source. I’m having a girl. I’ve been hooked up to fetal monitors for over 45 minutes. During that time her heart rate ranged from 128 bpm to 178 bpm, depending on her movements. The point is, you seriously cannot tell gender from heart rate and anyone who tells you that you can is mistaken.
