Question

Made an appointment with my OB today, they can’t get me in until March 1st. I’ll be 11 weeks on the day and that’s when ill get my first blood work done and stuff. It seems late to me I guess, don’t most people get blood work done when they find out at the drs?

I won't be seeing my doctor until 11 weeks either. The office said as long as I'm not having issues they don't need to see me sooner. 
It's killing me because we're not telling family or friends until after my appointment, which is Feb.26!

Not always. I never got blood work. My first appointment was at 8w2d, and they did a transvaginal ultrasound for confirmation and dating. But my second ultrasound was at 11w6d for my NT scan, so I’d ask about that if they plan on doing it. It depends on your dr though. I’m high risk and have had every test possible and about 10 ultrasounds so far and I’m a day away from 30 weeks. Most of everything depends on your dr and your pregnancy.
