Abnormally high hcg level??

Ok I’m only 3 weeks 5 days and my blood hcg level is 1,864 - the normal range is 5-50! This doesn’t make any sense. Am I having triplets?! The doctor told me how far along I was based on my last period start date so there’s no mistake. WTF. Getting a second blood test Monday and early ultrasound Tuesday.

Your hcg level has nothing to do with how many babies you’re pregnant with. The only thing that matters when it comes to hcg is if it’s doubling every 48 hours. Some women produce more hcg than others and that’s why the numbers vary so much.

hcg has nothing to do with how many kids you are having. At 6 weeks my level was 38,000. When my sister in law was pregnant, her level was 14,000 with twin boys. It is just a number
