I’m 15 and I’ve been wanting a belly  piercing since FOREVER. I’m very mature for my age had a job and everything but I ask my mom if I can get mines done when I’m 16 she says no bc I’m not old enough so I gotta wait til I’m 18. But thats honestly too long for me and if ur 16 u can get it done without parents permission, and that what I plan on doing. But My birthday not till August idk if I could convince her tho. Should I wait or just go get it without permission?

I wouldn’t do it. It’s really disrespectful to your mum’s wishes, especially as you are still a child and her responsibility until you are 18. 
Doing it against your mums orders will just create unnecessary drama in your household.

I got a scaffold piercing when I was 16 despite my mother telling me not too but I did my research a had wanted one for years. My mother was so upset and angry but mostly because I did it without telling her. To this day it's still a touchy subject. She didn't talk to me for about a week. But at the same time I don't regret it I'm 21 now and I'll probably keep it pretty much forever. I just wish I had gone about it better.  sit her down, explain to her that you want it done if it is a mistake it's only a piercing that can be removed. Let her know that this is your choice but be mature about it so she can see that you really have thought it through. I don't regret mine but I do regret how I did it.

That’s how you get grounded and break trust with your mother. My mom still doesn’t trust me and I went and got mine pierced at 13 stupidly by a friend. Finally when I was 18 she said it was stupid of me to get it done but it looked cute and we got matching jewelry. I’m 25 now and my mom STILL uses that example as a “toss in” for arguments. My mom still gets mad at me for getting new tattoos and she has some! Lol.

That’s a tricky one! I got mine done at 14. I didn’t need permission from a parent to get it done and I was going to get it even if my mum said she didn’t want me to, so I told her I was going to get it done and she didn’t have a problem with it anyway and actually came with me when I got it done. Like I said, if she had said she didn’t want me to, I still would’ve got it done anyway. I’d say the right thing to do is respect your mothers wishes for now, but as soon as you’re old enough to get it without her permission that’s your choice. It would be rude to go against her wishes, but at the same time it’s your body and if you don’t NEED her permission then it doesn’t really matter whether she gives it or not, once you’re old enough to make the choice for yourself it’s no longer her business. Personally I’d just get it done, of course she’s probably not going to be happy about it but it’s not her body and therefore it’s not her decision to make. As long as you’re 100% sure you want the piercing, I say go ahead and do it

When I was 17, my sister took me to get mine done and they said no because my mom wasn't there with me. I had to go back with mom. lol
