Elective induction?

Has anyone asked their dr to be induced and they did it? Without medical issues

My Dr will do it at 39 weeks. If you have progress going in (you're dilated and effaced) the chances of needing a c section is lower. I personally wouldn't do it unless that's the case (I've been induced 2 of my 3 pregnancies). Pitocin sucks so be prepared for the epidural.

Depends on the hospital and doctor but I have a couple docs who will induce for maternal discomfort at 39w. Being induced before 39 w requires a medical reason

induction increases risk to you and baby. I'm required to be induced for all pregnancies and wouldn't wish the added pain, stress, and risk on anyone. I cannot grasp any reason you would voluntarily put yourself and your baby at higher risk for what I assume amounts to mere convenience.
