Anybody else checking their own cervix?

Question

I'm 36 weeks and I just checked my own cervix. I'm about 2cm dilated. I know dilation is not an early sign of labor, but it does mean I am getting close! A few more weeks! I'm really excited.

I tried, but I couldn't reach it. It was neat to feel his head, though. Made him wiggle.

I can't even reach that far LOL but my doctor does weekly checks so im not too worried about it lol

I've always heard it's not healthy to check yourself because the more hands down there the more chance of infection. My doctor thought I was dilating at 34 weeks but wouldn't check because of chance of infection.

Anybody else checking their own cervix?
