Has anyone had a belly button piercing reject or get ripped out and got the piercing redone?

One of my friends got their belly button pierced awhile ago but it rejected and when she went to go get it redone the piercer said there was too much scar tissue for her to get it. Mine got ripped out a long time ago and I've always wanted to get it done again but now I'm not sure I can.

My first husband tried to rip mine out.. but I managed to take it out and let it close. When I got it done the second time, it hurt like HELL! But was able to do it. I'll never take it out now. I loved it the first time.. and will til I breathe no more.

Any piercer worth your time will not pierce through scar tissue.

I’m a rugby player and my best friend had her bellybutton pierced and forgot to tape it before our game and she got tackled and it got ripped out the scar was bad but she was able to repierce it after a couple of months

I had mine in for over a year and it was just not good it was always infected and hurt even after it should have been healed . It somehow fell out and within a matter of hours my hole closed up and I had to get it redone . It was fine tho when I got it redone and I’ve had my new one for about 2 years and have had no problems with it what so ever . I do have a weird little scar over where the first piercing was but it’s okay now .

Not my belly but I used to have my lip pierced and had to take it out because of my braces (kept catching and pulling and I was scared it was gonna rip the hole a bit) I went back to my piercer about 3 months after taking it out and asked what my options were regarding re-piercing it and he said he could do it that day but I decided against as I still had (and have😒my braces) but I guess if he thought it was safe enough to re-piece it after 3 months after having a good luck at it and how it had healed up etc then I guess your belly should be okay; I’d just double check with the piercer that it’s healed okay and there isn’t too much scar tissue as piercing through scar tissue can cause complications if it’s to bad

Okay so my first rejected and I got it redone the piercer who did it the second time said it rejected because the first one didn’t go deep enough(very thin skin on my belly button) so the new one was deeper but my dog ripped it out never went back again to get it done again ..

Mine rejected and I never got it redone. 
If hers rejected recently (like within the last 3 months) then she is going to have a lot of scar tissue. She needs to wait awhile before attempting to get it redone. Continue cleaning it until it heals up. And then do vitamin e oil massages to help break up the scar tissue and it should be okay to re pierce within a year (maybe more maybe less)
