Miscarriage?

Sorry for the ignorance but first time pregnant and 5w3d. Got a very big painful period like cramp that lasted around 45 seconds. If this is a miscarriage how soon after should I expect some type of bleeding as sort of confirmation?

I didnt cramp until after I started bleeding. Honestly if its just one cramping you are probably fine. I am 25 weeks and still cramping every now and then. It really is normal!

I miscarried at 5w2d back in December and I had consistent cramping that was much more painful than my normal period cramps. Bleeding came about 45 minutes later. Some cramping is totally normal in early pregnancy. Don’t scare yourself. Best of luck to you and a healthy 9 months!

when I had my miscarriage, I had 0 cramps or blood.  with my rainbow I've had pms cramps all through pregnancy. unless you see blood, I wouldn't worry.  you can always call Dr tho
