What to expect at first prenatal appointment

I have my first prenatal appointment Wednesday the 9th. I'll be 6 1/2 weeks then. I've had 2 prior miscarriages and I had to go on clomid to conceive. What should I expect? I really want an ultrasound soon to make sure everything is ok.

Hi Sandra. From what I've seen it variates from country to country. I was in Mexico for my first appointment. She made me an transvaginal scan. Ask about family disease history (cancer, diabetes, blood pressure) and just prescribed to me the frolic acid and some progesterone pills. In the US they do not scan you unless they are suspicious about something. Good luck. This is my baby at 6 weeks ;) he or she has a heart already and we could hear it ​
