The HSG.. Oh my.. I just had it done a couple weeks ago. Not to scare you but my experience was that it hurt extremely bad. Felt like you were having bad period cramps. They say people experience it differently. Hope all goes well with you if you have it done.

I'm glad I had it done cause I may have a tube that's not open but my dr thinks it was having a spasm. It hurts like your having a bad period pain. I've never been prego so I'm not sure what breaking your water feels like.

It is like bad period cramps. I squeezed the crap out of my husbands hand and before I knew it, it was over. You can do it!!! Giving birth is much worse, so I heard.

Yes I had it after my missed m/c and d&c. Not gonna lie- it hurt. Bad. Definitely take some Advil before you go. Lots of pressure for a minute or two. But I think mine was especially bad because it was done in an imaging center and I was positioned flat on a metal surface rather than angled in stirrups. Hopefully Yours will go smoothly. Good news is that supposedly you are more fertile after it as it flushes out any bad stuff. Good luck!

i did it and it wasnt bad! Its nothing a woman cant handle! Dont get me wrong, iy wasnt comfortable. But its very helpful to clear out your fallopian tubes if youre TTC. so its well worth it! Dont be afraid! You got this!

The results are instant. The longest part is waiting for the dr. I'm currently on month 2 after mine. Still not pregnant, but I could always be the exception. My dr said to give it 3 months then if not pregnant to come back in.

Thank you all. I know insurance does not cover the procedure and it's about $1000 so we are waiting for his semen analysis to come back before proceeding with this option.

I'm currently waiting to schedule mine, I've had 2 early miscarriages in the past 4 months, so my dr wants to check my tubes.. I've heard it hurts really bad, and to take some Motrin or Advil before hand; I've also heard it doesn't hurt, it's just uncomfortable. It depends with each person I guess.. I would definitely do it, as someone already mentioned, you're more fertile after it! And you get to see if your tubes are ok! Hang in there, good luck✨✨✨!
