Im about to start going to cosmetology school. Any advice?

I'm just curious if there are any things I should probably study up on before I go. I know they will teach me everything I need to know, but I figure a little bit of knowledge beforehand would help me along the way. Any great makeup artists on YouTube I should look into? Any of you lovely ladies have experience of your own? I would love to hear tips and any advice anyone is willing to give. Thanks!

If the program is involving nails I’d study all the diseases and disorders of the nails and the parts of the nail. I’d also study the anatomy of the skin and the skin diseases and disorders. I went to cosmetology school to do gel nails and had to learn those. Waiting to go and do manicure pedicure and makeup courses.

If you take hair. Just know that beauty school only teaches you the basics. There’s so much more to learn after you get out! Always continue to take classes and learn the newest techniques and trends. Also really practice your men’s cuts because men are good tippers if you can give a good haircut!
