Pain the first time?

So my bf and I just today actually got it done. I have been to scared and in to much pain to keep the sex from happening. Then today I sucked it up and went with it. It hurt, not to the point where I was crying, but it was just kinda sore. Once he was in though, it wasn’t as strong of a pain, it was mainly just when he went in. I’m a little sore here after too. Is this normal? Will it happen again?
