Baby shower 👎

Im from South America. From where I come from its okay to plan your own baby shower or that's what I thought but my family in law took it as an insult. (C'mon seriously?). They said they wanted to plan it because 'how embarrassing would be to plan your own BS!'. Anyways, they aren't excited about baby cause after all 'it's just a baby' 😔 and they were thinking on serving pizzas from a box and beer. I don't want to be unthankful but it's not what I had in mind. Am I being a drama queen?
