Successful Membrane Sweep stories?

I'm 39 weeks and 3 days. Tomorrow at my doctor's appointment, he said he was going to strip my membranes. I've never had this done before, but he said it should kick start labor. I haven't had contractions for about a week. They were pretty consistent. I got to 2 cm. Then all of a sudden, they just stopped. I've been on my yoga ball and walking a lot, but still nothing as of late. I want to have this baby so bad, I'm so miserable. I just want to know membrane sweeps or strips whichever lol work.
