Hi guys

I'm currently 23w 1d pregnant and my fiancée and I have decided on home birth since early on in the pregnancy. My experience with my daughter was a nightmare at the hospital.. from inducing labor too soon to wanting to try every ridiculous measure just to turn her! Good thing I had any aunt to put the doctor in his place. He wanted to use forceps, the vacuum or a csection. She told him "Use your HAND". He did An my daughter was positioned properly. Then after birth was rude nurses my OBGYN was awful An rude after I delivered too and he wasn't even there for the delivery which is expected with some OBGYNS I guess.

Anyways, we agreed on a home birth. Fingers crossed we can pull it off with zero issues. But suddenly.. while out for dinner lastnight my fiancée decided by himself to announce he'd be contacting his parents during my pushing stage or close to my pushing stage so they could come wait downstairs at the house....

I am NOT okay with this! And I was in shock that he even would say that without bothering to say a thing to me regarding the matter.

I spoke up and said no, I don't want people there during the birthing aside from my SO and the midwives. No one will be welcome til the mess is tidied An we've all calmed down An settled a bit. His mother then decided to chime in and say "well, just remember you aren't the only one having this baby"...

I literally had to take a gulp of juice and had to bite my tongue. No. I am not the only one that's having the baby. But I am the o my one pushing a baby out of my body An going through the pain of labor An delivery of the baby. She thinks my fiancée who is 28 turning 29 may need her support. Sorry.. if he needs your support he can leave. And he's a grown man, our baby is planned An something we very excited about. I'm just completely shocked she felt her opinion on any of it or input was welcome.

Looks like I'm gonna need to have a chat with my SO 😅 cause it isn't happening at all. No thanks.

Any one else have a home birth ?? And anyone one else here have to be maybe a little snappy toward their MIL regarding labor An delivery..??

My fiancée and I had a talk and I discussed how overwhelming it'll be to have too many people in the house during birthing an labor. It's the exact thing I wish to avoid ! I want a home birth that isn't crazy and stressful. So he agrees with me and understands my reasoning and really.. he's gonna be feeling it after our baby girl is born anyways 😅he'll thank me later lol. So glad there was no fuss hahaha
