Can you get an IUD, as a minor, without parental concent?

I really want an IUD but I don't want to talk to my family about it. I just want to get it done but if I can't without concent, is there any other option of birth control that doesn't need concent?  (Please don't say abstinence)

You can go to planned parenthood to get one. I think depending on your state you can receive reproductive services without parental consent if you're a minor.

Yeah you can get anything from Planned Parenthood. They even have a program you can apply to that will pick up the costs for you. Infact I just went and got pills today, it was a great experience.

I’m not sure they’ll do one for a minor. I got one after my SO and I had our 5th baby. I got it removed cause I hated it. I gained 15lbs in a year with it (not a common side affect but found TONS of other women with the same prob) and you really can get pregnant with an iud...not common either but I had 2 close friends get pregnant with IUDs. There is nothing 100% but it’s better by a long shot than unprotected.

If you go to planned parenthood you can get it done without your parents knowing. And I believe there’s some sort of system that will help you out with the cost. But don’t quote me on that

Depends on your age. Some doctors also wont do it unless you've given birth previously
