Ex at the wedding??

My ex boyfriend before my fiancé happened to be one of my fiancé's best friends. There was no affair or any kind of drama - ex broke up with me and my fiancé and I started dating about 6 months later.

Fast forward nearly 4 years later and my fiancé and I are planning a weeklong destination wedding with a small group of close friends that we rarely ever see because they are across the world. We don't think it's a good idea to invite my ex because it is essentially a weeklong vacation ending in a big celebration of our relationship. I think he may be expecting an invitation, however.

How do we tell him that he's not invited? I don't want to sound rude but we don't want him there

If he's one of your fiancé's best friends, he's probably expecting to go  and I think it'd be rude not to invite him. Do you think he's not over you? Would it be too much for him to spend the weekend with you all? It's been 4 years since you've been together. If it was going to hurt the relationship with your fiancé it would have already happened. I say invite him.

I got marred three weeks ago. When we made our list, we didn't put anyone on it of we really didn't want them there. If the person didn't understand...oh well!  Good luck-guest list was the second hardest thing to do (seating chart was the worst)!!

Just don't invite him he should already know he wouldn't be it's common sense

I think if they are still good friends he should be invited. If there is no hard feelings or left over feelings than I don't see the issue?
