Anyone know if I'd be allowed in the tub if I'm given pitocin?

I will be induced this time around with pitocin and I'm wondering if I'd be allowed in the tub? Labor went too quick with my second daughter so I didn't get to ask and with my first I didn't know anything about laboring in water so im unsure.

No I don't think so! I had a water birth. You have to have it completely natural with no intervention and be low risk to be allowed one. With the exception of gas and air.

My sister had pitocin and was able to get into the tub. She had a midwife though. The second time around with an OB no tub was offered.

I'm not aloud a water birth if I get induced so I'd imagine they won't let me in a bath just aloud a quick shower

Ask your provider. They will know the policy for where you are planning to deliver.
