My husband and I have been married for 2 years now as of the 23rd this month and trying to conceive for coming up on 2 years in March. After many negative hpt, tears, questions why, and being given the run around from Dr after Dr. I was finally set up with an appointment with MY Dr (if you're a military wife you understand) who questioned why no other Dr in the clinic or in general didn't try to help us with answers long ago. Well he got straight to the point and said "I want to do some blood testing that requires blood draws on the 3rd and 10th cycle days. Fast forward to this last week I get a call from one of his assistants stating that my hormones are all normal BUT I have hyperthyroidism or an overactive thyroid. Also turns out that I had had my blood drawn MONTHS ago for this exact reason and they said it was normal, turns out it was slightly elevated back then too but nothing was ever said to me, this other doctor told me it was fine and normal but this entire time it wasn't. My Dr believes that this is what is causing my infertility and has started me on medication to get it under control. Any of you ladies been diagnosed with hypo or hyperthyroidism and taken meds to control it and conceived after? If so how long after finding out and being on meds did you conceive???
