Unsure if this is the right “topic”, finding out gender..

I’ve read stories online about sonogrophers point blank refusing to write down the sex of the baby on a bit of paper after/during the scan. I completely understand why as it is not a gender scan it is an anomaly scan so to speak.

Has anyone had any personal experience of doing this and getting the sonogropher to write it down for you?

Would anyone recommend that I ring the hospital myself to find out in advance?

May also confirm that it is the NHS and not private, however I am aware private is optional also.
