Cervix barely dilated but thinned out?

What does it mean when they say you’re completely thinned out? They said I’m dilated to 4 cm and completely thinned out bt they won’t keep me unless I’m at a 5..  does that mean my water could break soon?

ATheyre sending you home at 4?!?!? That’s INSANE! 4 is actually a lot! ESPECIALLY if you’re completely thinned!!!

My OB told me Friday (at my 38 week appointment) that it's no longer 4cm to be considered active labor; they changed it to 6cm. And here I am at 1cm 🙄

No your water don’t have to break to be in active labor my water has to be broken by the Dr once I got to 8cm
