I watched a scary movie last night

So last night I decided to be daring. I like horror movies and usually they don’t effect me after the credits roll. But last night, i decided to finally watch a movie that I haven’t seen yet.

So I watch this movie and it is honestly scaring me. I’m loving it. It’s the best horror movie that I’ve seen in awhile and I can’t figure out why I haven’t watched it until now.

So it ends and I go to bed. My husband has a rare night where he doesn’t snore, so it is dead silent in the house and bedroom. I’m a little jumpy whenever the heat kicks in, but eventually fall asleep.

I ended up having a bad dream. It wasn’t related to the movie. I don’t even remember much about it, but I woke up from it in a panic.

Then behind me, I hear this horrible unintelligible whispering. I freeze in fear. Because I just know there is a demon in the bed behind me and I can’t move.

After a few minutes of hearing this demon whispering behind me, I finally break free of my fear paralysis. I sling my arm backwards because no demon is taking my soul without a fight!

And then the back of my fist connects with my husbands face...

I freeze, because holy shit I forgot he was there. He is thrashing about in pain, because I just punched him. Because he was talking in his sleep and my dumbass thought my own husband was a demon wanting to take my soul.

So I do the only logical thing in this situation.

I pretend to be asleep.

And he is shaking my shoulder, freaking out. But damnit I can’t tell him I punched him because I thought he was a whispering demon.

Finally, I “wake up” and he informs me that I punched him in my sleep. I proceed to poor baby him until he falls back asleep. Because when you mistake your husband for a whisper demon and punch him out of a dead sleep that’s just what you do.
